This summer, Florida State University is launching the inaugural Visiting Scholars Partnership Program (VSPP) to strengthen high-impact, research and innovation centered, institution-to-institution partnerships with leading universities around the world.
The VSPP is designed to foster sustained research and innovation-driven interactions between FSU faculty and visiting scholars from strategically aligned international institutions. Through the VSPP, visiting scholars work closely with FSU faculty and community members, building impactful relationships, exchanging knowledge and perspectives, and contributing to research that transforms communities and advances global scientific understanding. In addition to advancing knowledge on the global stage, collaborations may include joint research proposals, co-authored publications, pooled data, integrated complementary resources, and new interdisciplinary initiatives.
The pilot program will take place in July 2026 through a series of exploratory research collaborations and campus engagements. It is based in the Office of the Provost, with strategic oversight provided by the Office for Strategic Initiatives and Innovation. The VSPP is implemented by the Learning Systems Institute (LSI), which conducts research and develops evidence-based interventions to improve individual and organizational performance.
By bringing world-class talent to FSU’s campus, this pilot program creates a structured, immersive experience for faculty and scholars visiting FSU for collaborative research, innovation exchange, and strategic partnership development.
