FSU faculty/staff that are designing, developing, and/or maintaining a specific international opportunity are responsible for ensuring that they understand the FSU Student International Travel Policy and complete all of the required steps to maintain compliance.
International Programs (IP): FSU faculty and staff interested in developing a for-credit program should contact IP to find out more information about the process.
Faculty/staff members wishing to lead or organize a non-credit bearing international experience are responsible for the following:
- Having the non-credit experience approved by the sponsoring Department and College.
- Reviewing and signing the Faculty Leader Responsibility Form and collecting signatures from the Department Chair and College Dean.
Review the U.S. Department of State’s Travel Advisory (US DOS), CDC Travel Health Notices (CDC), and CDC COVID-19 Health Notices (CDC COVID). Review and understand the corresponding FSU procedural standards for the location.
Complete a due diligence review and create an emergency response plan.
Confirm that all contracts are appropriately completed and signed.
Advise students about the travel registration and pre-departure orientation, and ensure students complete all necessary requirements.
Complete any necessary faculty/staff leader requirements, including training, as needed.
