Founded by Dr. Felipe Korzenny in, the Center for Hispanic Marketing Communication is the first of its kind in the United States devoted to educating students and professionals in the field of U.S Hispanic marketing and advertising

Center for Music of the Americas

The Florida State University Center for Music of the Americas promotes the scholarship, performance, and dissemination of musics found in the American Hemisphere, from Tierra del Fuego to the Arctic Circle.

Native American and Indigenous Studies Center

FSU's NAIS Center provides a physical and conceptual hub for community members who are committed to Native American and Indigenous research and artistic practice. The Center promotes and coordinates consultations with tribal nations and community leaders, educational efforts inside and outside of the classroom, and collaborative scholarship more broadly.

Center for the Advancement of Human Rights

The Center for the Advancement of Human Rights (CAHR) welcomes those interested in learning about human rights issues and exploring possibilities for human rights advocacy. The Center provides pro bono legal services for immigrants and refugees, human rights courses, and partnerships with local, national, and global NGOs.

Center on Global Health

Aligning with FSU College of Medicine’s mission, the Center on Global Health is dedicated to improving the health of underserved global populations through education of future global health leaders, research and training, and service in partnership with communities around the world.

Institute for Intercultural Communication and Research

The IICR undertakes research and assessment activities, expands research opportunities in intercultural competencies, and coordinates associated services and educational/training activities that enhance existing and emerging efforts to expand internationalization and cross-cultural competency at the Florida State University.

Institute on Napoleon and the French Revolution

The Institute on Napoleon and the French Revolution is the only graduate program in the United States devoted solely to the historical study of the Revolutionary and Napoleonic era. The Institute is concerned with all aspects of this period, with students conducting archival research in almost every country in Europe, as well as in much of North and South America.

The Institute on World War II and the Human Experience

Annually, the Institute sponsors events that seek to bring new perspectives and cutting edge scholarship to the Florida State community related to the history of World War II. The Institute has sponsored two international academic conferences in Tallahassee, one focusing on the Global History of Religion in the Second World War and the other examining Comparative Home Fronts.

International Center for Hospitality Research and Development

The International Center for Hospitality Research & Development (ICHRD) exposes students to world-class faculty who engage and inspire. The center is a key provider to international industry professionals of research on a wide array of topics, including tourism marketing, visitors, lodging and service management, food safety, operations policy analysis and training.

The Learning Systems Institute (LSI) is at the forefront of developing innovative solutions that bridge theory and practice in education. For 55 years, LSI has delivered systems that measurably improve learning and performance of organizations and individuals in Florida and worldwide. The Institute’s experts have earned an international reputation for efficient and effective management and technical work that meets clients' needs.

Middle East Studies Center

The Middle East Center (MEC) at Florida State University is an interdisciplinary center dedicated to the scholarly and dispassionate study of the Middle East. Its mission is to create a bridge between a variety of disciplines on campus to provide an academic environment for students who are seeking a greater understanding of the Middle East.

National High Magnetic Field Laboratory

The MagLab is the largest and highest-powered magnet laboratory in the world and is the only facility of its kind in the United States. Annually, more than a thousand scientists from dozens of countries come to use the lab’s unique magnets with the support of highly experienced staff scientists and technicians. Thanks to funding from the National Science Foundation and the State of Florida, researchers use the facilities for free, probing fundamental questions about materials, energy and life.

The Frederick L. Jenks Center for Intensive English Studies (CIES)

CIES is an English language school that gives its students all the English language skills and cultural knowledge necessary for success in today's world. Their highly qualified and experienced instructors and staff ensure a productive and pleasant experience by limiting enrollment to 150 students per session, allowing for personalilzed instruction in a safe, friendly environment.

Winthrop-King Institute for Contemporary French and Francophone Studies

The Winthrop-King Institute seeks to advance knowledge of France and the French-speaking world in the United States as well as to promote interdisciplinary work that encourages new understandings of France and its relationship to the world. With a focus on the contemporary, the Institute aims to bring greater scholarly attention to the rich and diverse cultures belonging to the French-speaking world.
