
Complete the Application for Outgoing Reciprocal Exchange Student at The Florida State University, including the signature of the Academic Advisor for International Exchange in the participating department at The Florida State University. Deliver to the Global Pathways and Exchange Coordinator.
Passports take approximately 6 weeks to process. Visit the Passport Services website for fee information and application forms. You will need your passport before applying for a visa.
Depending on which country you are planning to visit, you may also need to a visa which is attached to your passport and allow you to enter a foreign nation. Look through the State Department’s Country Specific Information to find information about your destination. You can research the entry and exit requirements, get more details about necessary documentation, and find out how to apply.
Check with your health insurance provider to update your policy to include international health coverage. Here are the health insurance requirements and a place to purchase the insurance if you need it.
You can purchase your ISIC at The Florida State University International Programs Office, A5500 University Center, 644-3272. You'll need an ID card, a passport-sized photo, and a check for $22.You can also purchase it online.
Please book your flight only after you've been officially accepted with a letter directly from your host university.
Go to the State Department's Travel Registration site to inform the Embassy of your location in your country which will help the embassy locate you when you might need them the most.

Once you are accepted into an exchange, you will receive information on how to submit these required documents.
Financial Aid and Student Exchange Participation
Allexchange students at The Florida State University enroll and pay The Florida State University tuition and fees. Tuition and fees are waived at the host university.
There are international partners that end their term after The Florida State University's semester grades are due. In these instances an NG or I will be posted and this may be in place when continuing financial aid eligibility is determined. Please do not be alarmed by a letter stating that you have lost eligibility, but be reassured that The Florida State University Financial Aid Office will expedite the process to reinstate you once the transcript from the international partner arrives and the grade is posted.
Exchange students are also required to refund to Bright Futures the award amount received for course(s) which were dropped or withdrawn at the Host institution after The Florida State University's drop and add period.
