What would I be studying?

Students conduct on-site research and engage in classroom discussion on international business and doing business in Asia. Classes are offered in English.  This website lists course option, it is open only during the course registration period (choose English). How can I study at Kyung Hee University, School of Management as an Exchange Student?

Students enroll and pay Florida State University tuition and fees, and tuition and fees are waived at the host university. All participants must be currently enrolled and degree-seeking students in good standing with all academic credit earned at the host institution being credited to The Florida State University. A student participating in the exchange must be in attendance at The Florida State University for one semester prior to the exchange.

  1. To participate in this exchange you must be a FSU College of Business student. Contact The Florida State University College of Business Academic Advisor for this International Exchange, Dr. Charles Hofacker, who will direct you through the department's selection process for outgoing reciprocal exchange students at The Florida State University. If you are a student at The Florida State University in another department, your application and course selection will also need to be approved by your department faculty advisor.
  2. Complete the Application for outgoing reciprocal exchange student at The Florida State University, including authorizing signatures.
  3. There will be an application form for Kyung Hee University School of Management as well. Kyung Hee University Exchange Student Guidelines.

Deadlines

Apply by April 20 for the Fall semester and October 20 for the Spring semester.

Academic Calendar

The Fall semester is early September with final exams taking place the last week of December. The Spring semester is early March with final exams occur the second week of June. 

KyungHee

Financial Aid and the Kyung Hee University, School of Management's Academic Calendar

FSU students going to Kyung Hee University School of Management’s Fall semester (early September–late December) or Spring semester (early March–mid June) and who have been awarded financial aid are scheduled to have their aid disbursed within a week of the start of classes at Kyung Hee. You may be eligible for a tuition deferment if your FSU tuition is due prior to this date.

How do I secure a student visa?

Students are responsible for and must possess a valid passport and a D-2 visa from the Korean Embassy or Consulate in their country for their stay in Korea (nearest Korean Embassy or Korean Consul General). 

Accommodations- Where would I live?

There are many housing options available, including on campus housing is available in the Sameuiwon on the Seoul campus. Sameuiwon is a dormitory complex that can accommodate 392 students including international students. With newly renovated structures, the rooms are equipped with beds, desks, cabinets, air conditioner, LAN and phone for the comfort of students. Generally a room is shared by 4 students. Meeting the health insurance requirements for The Florida State University students participating in international exchanges will ensure that you have met the Kyung Hee University requirements for health insurance.

History

Kyung Hee University is a private institution in Seoul, with a second campus (Global Campus) in the suburban city of Suwon. Kyung Hee University offers many degree programs fully in English. According to the Joongang Daily Newspaper's rankings on Korean universities in 2010, Kyung Hee University was ranked as fifth among all comprehensive universities in Korea. Chosun-QS Asian University Ranking 2011 ranked Kyung Hee as among the top Asian universities, ranked Kyung Hee 245th in the world and 6th best in Korea.
