The Florida State University recognizes that international collaborations and agreements with partner universities provide invaluable opportunities for students and faculty in this era of globalization. The Florida State University supports faculty, department and college efforts to initiate and develop international collaborations to provide increased learning opportunities.
The Florida State University’s Office of Research lists Funding Resources and Opportunities to aid Faculty and Staff at The Florida State University in their research and creative endeavors. The Florida State University’s Office of Faculty Recognition works to connect qualified faculty with career-appropriate prestigious awards such as Fulbright Scholar Awards.
Global Pathways supports a database of faculty at The Florida State University who have international teaching and/or research interests. Through this database Global Pathways can apprise faculty of opportunities relevant to their interests such as international research collaborations, incoming international scholars or grant proposals. These profiles are also used to identify faculty with particular expertise who can assist The Florida State University’s internationalization efforts.

The Florida State University faculty can take advantage of support for their endeavors in developing international agreements for research purposes or student exchange. Assistance is also available to help faculty with outgoing and incoming exchange students.

Faculty can develop experiences for a group of international students participating in a special academic or cultural program at The Florida State University.

The Global Pathways Initiative offers a faculty development opportunity: “Global Pathways Curriculum Institute: Facilitating Global Competency.” Our purpose is to engage faculty in activities which increase global learning opportunities for our students and begin to build a faculty community interested in global learning.
