Global Footprint

Florida State University has actively been expanding its global footprint around the world during the last 50 years and has developed a strong international presence.

Over 100 international agreements in over 35 countries have increased international research collaborations by faculty and promoted an active exchange of students. FSU's outstanding scholars from various disciplines lead research projects and collaborate with international colleagues from around the world. Multiple FSU Research Institutes and Centers provide expertise and leadership for projects stretching around the world, often working with government agencies, intergovernmental organizations, and local governments to address such things as literacy, teacher training, leadership development, public health, public administration and governance, economic development, and energy and sustainability.

FSU students are actively engaged in international study, research, internships, and service in over 75 countries worldwide. Study Centers in London, Florence and Valencia, and a branch campus in the Republic of Panama, exchange programs and faculty-led programs, have placed FSU 12th in the nation for the number of students studying or interning internationally each year. In addition, increasing numbers of students are carrying out research abroad and participating in service projects on six continents.
